Gooey "Free-From" Cheat Vegan Brownies

Living with #allergies means learning skills in the kitchen and cooking many dishes from scratch.


Sometimes though when we come across a #baking hack or an easy pass it's irresistible so we're happy to pass on our finds if it helps save you some in the kitchen.


The basis of these #vegan #brownies comes from a pre-mix pack which requires eggs to be added, so we've adapted it to make it a completely #allergen #friendly #recipe.




Ingredients

#Tesco Free From Brownie Mix

1 Mashed #Banana

1 tablespoon #chia seeds mixed in 3 tablespoons water for 5 minutes

60gr melted dairy alternative #spread

1/2 slab dairy alternative chocolate broken into small pieces. We used #NOMO

1 mini bag dairy free chocolate #buttons


Method

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius


Insert baking paper into a 7 inch square baking tin and grease


Pour the brownie mix and broken chocolate bits into a large bowl


Add the banana, chia seed mix and melted butter and stir into a batter


Pour into the baking tin and cook in tge oven for 18-22 minutes depending on the desired texture from gooey to spongey


Test with a skewer to see if the brownies are ready to come out of the oven


Once out allow to rest for 10 minutes

before removing from the tin


Decorate with chocolate buttons while still warm to allow them to melt over the top

Cut into squares and enjoy!
