The Christmas break is a perfect time for lots of Christmas baking and cooking with the kids! Even more so now that many of us are finding ourselves again in some sort of lockdown.
We love to be creative with our cooking in our household, but the firm favourite for the kids is decorating (and eating!) the cookies. Why not make yourself a large batch of cookies or gingerbread men, and allow the kids to show their creative sides?
Home made icing with a few very simple ingredients is a perfect 'glue' made up in no time.
Just mix 3 spoons of icing sugar with a spoon of dairy alternative milk and some vanilla seeds.
***3 tablespoons of icing sugar with a small squeeze of lemon juice and a teaspoon of water gives a perfect dairy free fruity alternative (though check that your icing sugar does not contain dairy products!)

Egg = 1 Mashed banana; a chia seed egg (1 table spoon chia seeds to 3 tablespoons water)
