We're 9 weeks into lockdown with homeschooling and childcare taking place at home for the majority of parents in the UK. With the schools gearing to open next week, what are your thoughts? Will you be sending your children back to school or holding off? How are you and your families feeling about the easing? Have you discussed the transition with your children and how do they feel? Have you had any communication from your education providers over reopening and which measures will be in place to protect children, staff and their families. What changes would you like to see? Perhaps you may have already been sending your child to school or work in the education sector yourself. It would be really good to gauge where you're at and what you think. Comment below and let's get the conversation started as we're all in this together.đâ¤đ

I have two primary age children. One is allowed to go back on 1st June, but to have one at school full time and the other at home would cause us more problems than it would solve! I also donât feel confident about reopening schools yet anyway. It just doesnât feel right when so many other things are still closed.
That is a really tough conundrum and going to be strange for your children. It's a fine balance between restarting the economy and the logistics around all those that are impacted. Yes, the unknown can cause so much anxiety and is going to be interesting to see how the country adjusts over the next few weeks as more easing is introduced. As this will not be going away too soon, the big question will be around how best to adapt our lives to live with the virus impacting us. Hope all goes well next week, keep us posted on how you get on. It wi be interesting to learn about your experience, that so many others will also be juggling and adapting to. đ¤đ
Weâve decided not to send her back to begin with. I hope they will both get some time in school before the summer holidays though.
